SLITAD is the apex body of the nation's Training and Development (T&D) Professionals and a Life Member of the Asian Regional Training and Development Organisation (ARTDO International). SLITAD was founded in 1998 by a group of HRD professionals from diverse sectors, led by the late Mr. Achilles Joseph, to spearhead the HRD movement in Sri Lanka.
We believe that learning, grooming, facilitating, developing and training not only create competent and empowered individuals, but also build a competitively advantageous workforce and agile organisations able to confront a fast-paced, chaotic world. As such, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in delivering human resource development and Training and Development (T&D) programmes and related services to our accomplished and aspiring professionals, to enhance, equip and empower them with HRD and T&D competency and continuous development.
